  • Merit Scholarship

    Dell knows that education is a top priority for team members and their families. To help support your emphasis on education, Dell provides annual merit scholarships, which are available to legal dependents of active U.S. team members.


    Eligible team members include:

    • Active, regular U.S. based employees who work 25 hours or more per week
    • Team members who have been employed for a minimum for 30 days upon the date of the application and who are employed at the time the scholarship is granted

    Eligible student Dependents:

    • Legal dependents of active, regular U.S. based Dell employees
    • High school seniors and college freshmen, sophomores and juniors
    • Those with overall grade point averages (GPAs) of 3.5 or above out of 4.0 unweighted average
    • You must have at least a combined score of 1380 in the Reading/Writing and Math segments of the SAT (New version), a combined score of 1300 the Critical Reading and Math sections of the SAT (Old Version). Note: If you took the Writing(Essay) section of the old version of the SAT, your combined score (Critical Reading, Math and Writing(Essay) must be 1950.
    • Must be in a position to accept the scholarship in the school year for which it is being awarded.
    • Student may not have received this award previously.
    Value of the award scholarship

    Scholarships are awarded in 3 levels:

    Gold:  Two at $10,000

    Silver:  Four at $7,000

    Bronze:  Up to 40 at $5,000

    To be considered to a gold or silver level scholarship, the essay portion of the application must be completed. If it is not completed, the student will only be considered for a bronze level award.

    Notification of winners

    Winners and/or their parents/guardians will be notified by email approximately 2 months after the submission date. Scholarships are distributed to the students in late summer/early fall. Non-recipients will not be notified.
